The Senior HR Generalist supports Advantage Care Health Center, an organization which operates in a community-based healthcare agency environment. The Senior HR Generalist responds to all employee inquiries by referencing the handbook and other available resources and escalates as necessary. Serves as Advantage Care’s employee relations representative and engages with employees and supervisors regularly to learn of and address any potential concerns and employee related workplace investigations. This position is responsible for sourcing the best candidates for current and future employment vacancies, with an end goal of retaining high quality talent; Performs onboarding tasks to ensure a positive acclimation period for new hires. This position also conducts annual DOH training, compliance training, incidents/POCA for the health center, and may conduct training on various non-medical/health topics. Tracks HR compliance for employees including: annual performance reviews, handbook acknowledgements, code of conduct, etc. Performs other related duties and participates in strategic planning, DEI and other workplace initiatives as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree required in Human Resources or related field required with a Master’s Degree strongly preferred; four to six years of previous HR experience required at a similar level. Working knowledge of HR disciplines, including recruiting strategies, employee relations, federal/state employment laws, compensation practices, diversity performance management, training and organizational assessment and evaluation. Experience in healthcare HR strongly preferred. Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills required. Demonstrated competency in intermediate to advanced level proficiency in all Microsoft Suite applications, including HR Databases. SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM SCP) credential or ability to obtain certification within one year of employment strongly preferred.
